Our Commitments

Magisters Alternative Provision Commitments

Everything we do is grounded in six core commitments to the young people we support, the families who trust us, and the schools and authorities who commission our provision.

Safety and Safeguarding

Creating a nurturing, stable, and emotionally secure space where pupils feel welcomed, respected, and able to express themselves without fear or judgement.

Understanding the child

Recognising that emotional wellbeing is the foundation for progress. We take time to understand each pupil's story, needs, strengths, and aspirations.

Personalised, flexible support

Co-creating structured yet adaptable support plans that incorporate therapeutic guidance, academic support, and meaningful learning experiences tailored to the individual.

Building Confidence
Gradually

Celebrating small steps, strengthening resilience, and supporting pupils to take positive risks with progress reviewed regularly with pupils and families.

Strong
Partnerships

Working collaboratively with schools, local authorities, families, and external agencies to deliver cohesive, joined-up support built on shared goals.

Reintegration and Future Steps

Equipping every young person with the personal, social, and academic tools they need to move forward; whether into mainstream school, further education, or employment.

EBSA Support

A new standard in EBSA support

Magisters Education Alternative Provision is the first provision of its kind to combine Creative Art Therapies with AI-assisted learning to support young people experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance. We understand that EBSA arises from genuine distress and that meaningful re-engagement with education begins with emotional safety, trust, and connection.

Our Director

A Message From Our Director

David Moran, Director of Alternative Provision

I have spent my career working with young people who have been let down by the systems meant to support them. Emotionally Based School Avoidance is not a behaviour choice but a response to genuine distress. These young people need safety, understanding, and the right kind of support before they can begin to re-engage with learning.

Magisters Education Alternative Provision was built to provide exactly that. I am proud of what we have created here, and I am committed to making sure every young person who comes to us leaves with greater confidence, resilience, and belief in what they are capable of.

If you have a young person who needs us, please get in touch."
